This Privacy Policy explains what information IQ Test Online ("we", "us", the "Service") collects when you use https://iqtestonline.net, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

IQ Test Online operates the website at https://iqtestonline.net, which offers an online intelligence quotient (IQ) self-assessment. For any privacy question or request you can reach us at support@iqtestonline.net.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we never ask for your real name, postal address or phone number. The information we do collect falls into four groups.

2.1 Test data

  • The answers you submit for each question
  • Your calculated IQ score and accuracy rate
  • How long you took to complete the assessment
  • The language you selected

2.2 Technical data

  • Your IP address, and the country derived from it
  • Browser type, device type and referring page
  • Dates and times of your visit and submission

2.3 Payment data

Payments are processed entirely by PayPal. We never see or store your card number, bank details or PayPal password. After a completed transaction PayPal returns a confirmation to us, and we store the PayPal order ID, payer ID, the name and email address on the PayPal account, the amount and currency, and the transaction timestamps. We keep this to verify purchases and handle refund requests.

2.4 Sharing data

If you unlock your result by sharing the test, we create a share link and record its code, the score attached to it, the channel you shared through, and counts and timestamps of visits to that link. We do not receive your contact list, and we cannot see who you sent the link to.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary. A session identifier (tid) and an encrypted access key (enc_key) let us match you to your own test session and remember that your result has been unlocked. Without these the Service cannot function.
  • Preferences. Your chosen interface language is remembered so you do not have to select it again.
  • Analytics and advertising. Google sets cookies to measure traffic and, where advertising is enabled, to serve and measure ads. See section 4.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to take the test or view a result.

4. Third-party services

The following third parties may receive data when you use the Service, each under their own privacy policy:

  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — traffic measurement and site usage analysis. Google Privacy Policy
  • Google Ads / Google AdSense — where advertising is enabled, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
  • PayPal — payment processing. PayPal Privacy Statement
  • Kakao — only if you choose to share your result to KakaoTalk.
  • Content delivery networks (jsDelivr, Cloudflare, jQuery CDN) — these serve stylesheets and scripts and receive your IP address as a normal part of delivering those files.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.

5. How we use your information

  • To score your assessment and display your result
  • To verify that a result has been unlocked by payment or by sharing
  • To calculate aggregate statistics, such as average scores and per-question accuracy rates
  • To process payments and handle refund or support requests
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud and automated manipulation of results
  • To measure traffic and, where enabled, to serve advertising

Aggregate statistics shown on the site are derived from many users' results and do not identify any individual. Names displayed in the "Recent Results" section are illustrative and are not the names of real identified users.

6. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract for delivering the test and processing payment; legitimate interests for fraud prevention and aggregate statistics; and consent for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required. Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time by clearing cookies or by contacting us.

7. How long we keep data

  • Session data (cookies and the in-memory session) — up to 7 days.
  • Test results and technical data — retained to maintain the accuracy of aggregate statistics.
  • Payment records — retained as long as required for accounting, tax and dispute-resolution purposes.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@iqtestonline.net.

Because we do not collect account details, we may need information that helps us locate your records — for example your PayPal transaction ID, or the approximate date and time you took the test. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, store session identifiers in encrypted form, and limit administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International transfers

Our servers and the third-party services listed above may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, such transfers are covered by the safeguards those providers maintain.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the revised policy.
